Outbound link tracking

When you click “Get Deal”, we record which deal was clicked, the time, your browser's user agent, the referring page, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself. We use this to count clicks, prevent abuse, and reconcile affiliate commissions.

Retailers and affiliate networks

After you leave eDealsHunt, the retailer and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to attribute your purchase. Their privacy policies govern that data.

Email: newsletter and price alerts

If you sign up for the weekly newsletter or a price alert, we store your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and (for alerts) the deal and target price. We email you only after you confirm, never share or sell your address, and every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. Price alerts are sent once and then end.

Votes and saved deals

Voting sets a cookie with a random ID so each browser counts once; we store only a salted hash of that ID. Saved deals, your own votes and your grid/list choice are kept in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us except to load the saved deals.

Deal submissions

If you submit a deal and include your email, we use it only to contact you about that deal.
